My style is an act of play. From pop art to ziggy stardust, I mix, create and experiment.
We would like to thank you for supporting Zhanna Uzunyan in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it’s ever-changing and character-driven. I love experimenting with different decades—mixing ’60s and ’70s elements like flared jeans and leather jackets—with modern twists. Some days I lean into color blocking and bold patterns. I always ask myself what my grandma would edit out or add in, keeping my biggest role model close to the heart of my creativity for a look that’s never static.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My biggest fashion moment would be collaborating with a visual artist on a collection that merges art and style. I’d love to showcase it in a museum or public space to educate and inspire others. Being surrounded by creatives, exchanging ideas, and turning fashion into a shared artistic experience—that’s the moment I dream of.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000, I’d first put some toward college to support my education. The rest would be seed money for a creative venture—designing a new collection and bringing it to life in New York. It would be a chance to grow creatively, connect with other artists, and turn a vision into something tangible and inspiring.
