I don’t feel like me if I’m not dressed to impress. Most of my clothes are thrifted. I’m from a small town in Washington State.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sydney Sangster in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I think I stand out because I don’t really try to please other people with what I’m wearing. I don’t really follow trends I just get what I feel like is me. I can’t leave the house unless I’m dressed like me. I have high standards for myself and I hold myself accountable. I love black (obviously), velvet, floral, purple, layering, button up shirts, cherry red accents, lace details, hats, maxi skirts, sunglasses and sliver jewelry. I’ve been shaving my eyebrows for 4 years now and I draw them on.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I just hope to get better at sewing so I can make all my clothes just how I want them. I want to make all my clothes fit perfectly on me. Then I can teach others how to alter clothes as-well. On the flip side I would be extremely proud of myself if I modeled even just once in my life.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000 I would use some to fix up my 1986 firebird, so I can finally take it to shows. In all honesty a lot would probably go into making my home pretty, I love gardening and it’s not a cheap hobby. Also I would spend a fair amount on the stray cats I’ve been feeding in my neighborhood. I would get them to the vet and build them a nice shelter for the winter. I would try to to save at least $10,000 for my future.
