What makes your style stand out?

I think my style stands out as I use fashion as an outlet for self expression and creativity. The way I dress is a reflection of how I feel and what brings me joy :) Creating, designing, putting outfits together, (the whole process from start to finish) is therapeutic and rewarding to me. I haven’t publicly shown garments I’ve been working on yet but plan to share them soon. My style is always evolving, changing and my way of self expression.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment is to be surrounded by a room full of secondhand unconventional materials and create garments until I’m out of ideas, or my hands begin to cramp (it’ll probably be #2). Creating clothing out of my communities secondhand unwanted materials and teaching others how to create is my dream. Controlled chaos and clutters of strange materials from your grandparents basement? Yep that’s seriously my dream, I love creating in a sustainable yet somewhat strange way.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 is a life changing amount of money to a university student like myself. It would help me launch future projects I’ve planned which require materials, textiles and equipment I currently don’t have access to. Aswell as let my creativity and skills flourish. I would use a portion towards my academics and tuition. Winning the contest would not only help launch my creative platform but would give me the opportunity to begin to make my dreams a reality
