My look is my story— Formal and resilient. Formal/Casual wear became my way of showing strength; my wheelchair doesn’t limit me.
We would like to thank you for supporting Linda Perez Santiago in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
What makes it stand out is not just being dressed up or being casual but formal. More than that is what I wear in my soul; wearing kindness, respect, resilience, and love for helping. What makes my style stand out is my ability to be and act professional while also making sure everyone is seeing and making an impact in their lives
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Very often is common to experience being looked down for my disability, or if i don’t match the “normal “standards. My dream fashion moment is to be treated with respect, not being treated different or discriminated because of how I look. My dream fashion moment is to be able to represent my community of people with disabilities so others are encouraged and reminded that they are not alone.
What would you do with $20,000?
I will use it to get my own apartment since my current situation isn’t the best, I do wish to officially sell my coloring books be able to print and donate to hospitals and shelters. Investing money in applications for possible art exhibitions, creating events to help my community, while also having a safe, stable place to be in and helping my sister.
