I was always interested in fashion, since I was little. My mother was too but we always clashed on our styles. So I schemed my own brand.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kyrstein Home in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because I have a talented way of choosing matching vintage clothes and accessories. My style is simple like a Scottish country girl always lost in big cities. I love tartans and small flower prints. I love feathers and silver. I love denim and lace. I love barets instead of beanies. I love only natural fibers, that are comfortable and warm. Or 100% cotton, no plastics because if you not comfortable your not confident!!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is having a successful shop. The front would have big display windows that I would display my designs on vintage mannequins. ( Like the ones I saw visiting Summerside, Prince Edward Island thirty years ago.) I would change my window displays every two weeks instead of just hang posters. The sign of my shop would be my real name, Kyrstein Jean with my family crest incorporated. People would line up on the streets to get in. I would have all my clothes made in Canada!
What would you do with $20,000?
I just returned from a visit to Scotland. I was so happy to finally see the birth place of my grandmother and great grandmother in Preswick. I am so inspired to finally after all these years make my dream a reality. So with 20, 000 $. I could buy the best fabrics and start sewing!! Yay!!! 🦚🏴🦋🦭🧚
