I like to dress well using mostly vintage/thrift store pieces, combined with the occasional piece picked up from a discount store.
We would like to thank you for supporting Edward "Ace" Annese in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
Going by public reaction, where virtually any time I step out, I get a positive compliment (or 2), I'd say it's because I combine classic elements with a dash of flair. It's not overly ostentatious, but it is eye-catching. Ultimately, my sense of style and color can be attributed to my mom, who often dressed me stylishly as a young boy. She also made her own clothes, and probably could have been a designer in another life.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Meeting John Varvatos would be cool. I was in a documentary called PUNK that he and Iggy Pop were Executive Producers of. I like his sense of style as well. I actually have met Elton previously, but why not another time?
What would you do with $20,000?
A portion would go to a non-profit I'm involved with, the Haight Ashbury Street Fair, which is the only independent non-profit annual street festival in San Francisco, going on its 47th year. Some would be saved, and then maybe I could take a little vacation...
