What makes your style stand out?
I like to play with fantasy and hyperrealism through fine detail giving the appearance of stepping out of an artwork or another world. I ground this whimsy through the use of tight color palettes and pattern mixing that evoke the pigmentation harmonies of nature. This juxtaposition creates unique but approachable looks that allow me total creative freedom while still engaging people in a non threatening way.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
An all access pass to all the fashion archives in the world from The Metropolitan Museum of Art to Alexander McQueen. I see every piece like a color in an artist's palette. The more colors you have, the more amazing the final creations potential. So, to be able to be in rooms with thousands of colors to choose from would not only be a great joy but produce some stunning and unexpected outfits.
What would you do with $20,000?
I am currently working on a new project to share more of my artwork with the world, which would include wearables and other offerings. If I won the style icon contest, I would use the $20,000 to invest in my project and bring more beauty into the world.
