I grew up queer and painfully closeted, so for me, the only way I could outwardly express my sexuality in some way was through style.
What makes your style stand out?
I always add a touch of an alternative aesthetic to every outfit I put together. If I'm wearing western, it'll be goth western. If I'm rocking florals and pastels, I'll have a studded belt, skull rings, and a wallet chain. That way, no matter what aesthetic I rock, it's still fundamentally me at its core.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
For my brand to become a household name, and to be affordable for those on a lower income so that it's accessible for people from all walks of life.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would start youth programs that taught kids how to sew and alter clothing. I feel like knowing how to alter clothing makes a huge difference in confidence levels for kids forced to shop in thrift stores - where you can't always find things in your exact size.
