I have a black-and-white style with flowy and basic fabrics. I find most of my clothes second-hand and use what I own.
We would like to thank you for supporting William Phan in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I think because I avoid firsthand garments and like more simplistic yet sophisticated styles, I have to scour even more for clothes that fit my personal aesthetic. Additionally, I think the way I wear clothes stands out because even as a plus-sized (?) person, I'm able to sell a look.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be walking down a runway in a gorgeous garment made only from goods that've been well-loved and worn. A concept I'm currently working on is deconstructing second-hand stuffed animals and blankets to create a puffer jacket that represents bringing your childhood everywhere you go, which I'm calling "personal innocence".
What would you do with $20,000?
I would put it all into pursuing what I love and my hobbies, as well as stashing part of it away for college.
