Vinicius Silva

I believe dressing up is an act of self love, expression, a way to evoke a feeling on yourself and others, and a dedication to beauty.

What makes your style stand out?

I always put a lot of thought into what I wear. Because to me they are not just clothes, they are what I live my life in, they are my memories, and how I express myself to the world. I have traveled around a lot and I always try to buy a piece of clothing everywhere I go, and I think that has made my wardrobe and personal style well rounded and somewhat different. I usually go for light fabrics, dark, detail oriented, and sometimes flamboyant pieces I find beautiful.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

Okay picture this: I am in Milan wearing a Versace suit, there is a light breeze in the air, I’m holding a glass of wine on one hand and a cigarette on the other, and I think to myself as I look into the horizon - I love my life.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would change my life. I was born in a very small town in Brazil, and I joined a dance competition team when I was 7 years old which lead me to receive scholarships to study abroad in the US at professional ballet schools. I have now worked with many dance organizations who have provided me opportunities to fund my life with my art in present moments. And as I get older I crave to plan for the future more, so winning this competition would allow me to elevate my reality.
