What makes your style stand out?

I believe my style elicits intriguing emotions. I have to really feel an ensemble when I wear it. Otherwise, it's wearing me. Folks come up to me and engage in unprompted conversations. Compliments, sure. But many times they tell me I'm an inspiration to them, that they wished they had the courage to dress this way. I encourage everyone to play with fashion. Don't worry about what is supposed to be acceptable. Acceptable can be boring. Acceptable makes one blend in. Who wants to blend in?

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I think a dream fashion moment can happen anytime and anywhere. We don't have to wait for a huge event or hullabaloo to celebrate ourselves. A fashion moment can be merely stepping out of our comfort zones and wearing something unexpected and unique. This creates a feeling of confidence and power, not following the status quo. Sure, there may be fashion rules, but those rules are meant to be broken when expressing individualism. Don't wait to dress up. I dress up because it's Tuesday.

What would you do with $20,000?

I've been graphics communications professional my adult life. I love creating conceptual ideas and implementing them to generate objectives and to meet and surpass goals. I believe my fashion has been responsible for earning respect from clients, and also from advertising and graphic design industry leaders. At this point, my desire to expand my creativity keeps leading me back to fashion. How do I capitalize on this gift to create a business, to educate, and give back to my community?
