Style is like giving a person an opportunity to look through the window of a home you love.
We would like to thank you for supporting Takeisha Woods in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because I opt to evoke moods rather than sticking with one look and feel. One day, I may want to look like a beautiful member of an indigenous tribe, and another day, I may want to exude the essence of an early 2000s Hip-Hop dancer. Regardless of the mood, I own the look and make it a representation of me.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
To sit in the front row of a fashion show and be able to go backstage to meet the designer. Who doesn't necessarily matter as much as the opportunity to be in the presence of a creative artist and the people who passionately celebrate their art.
What would you do with $20,000?
Use fifty % of it to support my publishing business, PIE in Sky Publishing, with its debut publication of a magical realism novel called Dower: A Story About the Color of Love and the Form of Light. Twenty-five % would be used to invest, and another twenty-five % would be used to help those whom I love.
