What makes your style stand out?
As a history nerd, my curated looks always present an appearance usually based around one antique piece fleshed out with modern pieces that contribute to the spirit of the antique...I find the mix of antique and modernity thought provoking...when this is placed in the context of an event or a setting, it contributes a visual that enhances the experience for everyone. Context/Setting is crucial to consider when I am curating... the aim is to seamlessly BE present...and certainly, not in costume!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Undoubtedly, just to walk the runway one last time! When young, we are rarely aware of where we are and what we are doing, and rarely appreciate all the sensation available to us...not only would being selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity allow me to collect some of those senses from my youth with the maturity I now have, but it would also place the top hat on an extensive career living as a being, walking style icon!
What would you do with $20,000?
For starts, lunch at Savini's in the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle, with old pals from the Milan fashion industry, followed by a stroll down Via della Spiga, and a look into the shops...I would also financially support a local project to bring back a Civil War telegraph office as, well, a Civil War Telegraph office, an aim to make history live for local school children. Make the antique relevant in more ways than one!!! haha...
