Sylvian Hyde

Style is more than fashion. It’s self expression, identity, and opportunity a canvas where we design who we are and who we aim to be.

What makes your style stand out?

My style sits at the intersection of structure and sensuality, merging precision tailoring with bold individuality. There’s an undeniable sense of control meets rebellion, the kind of tension only a designer with a deep understanding of form, proportion, and context can create. I take classic tailoring codes, sharp lapels, clean lines, architectural silhouettes, and reinterpret them through a modern, almost sculptural lens that feels unapologetically forward.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment is seeing my 386-year-old heritage brand fully realized for what it truly is, a continuation of Belize’s legacy of exporting logwood and mahogany to Europe centuries ago. Logwood was once used to create dyes that shaped global fashion from the 1600s to the 1800s, and my family and country have always had a deep connection to that history. Today, in 2025, I’m bringing that legacy full circle by reviving it through modern design, innovation, and craftsmanship.

What would you do with $20,000?

As an independent designer, funding is one of the hardest things to secure, even though fashion is one of the most profitable industries. Many investors see it as high risk, so emerging designers like myself have to rely on endurance, creativity, and relentless resourcefulness to keep going. Winning would make a real difference, it would help push my vision forward and give my work the platform it deserves.
