What makes your style stand out?

At the age of 67 my style sadly doesn’t stand out much anymore, but it came to life 2 summers ago when I walked by a Scottish kilt store and walked in and out with a kilt! (See photo) I wear my kilt wherever and whenever I feel good and pretty (which is hard at 67)! In 1978 I got into Studio 54 NYC wearing brilliant red Tony Lama cowboy boots and a red Lacoste shirt and faded jeans (trendy) ! Maybe I was young and pretty but it was trendy! People used to say I was a trend setter.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I entered this contest just to meet Elton John, help raise money for his foundation & help prove that silver haired old people like me can show off our fashion! I am proud of my earned wrinkles& not afraid to show my silver grey! This contest is my last bucket list opportunity to shine at the age of 67 & show my fellow seniors that being proud and strong of being WHO YOU ARE is all that matters! BE YOURSELF AND BE HAPPY, LOVE EACH OTHER AND STAND TALL IN YOUR OWN FASHION! Ignore the negativity!

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won this money I would donate it back to charity! My life is full & happy with my partner & just the privilege of meeting Sir Elton John would be reward enough! It would be a great opportunity to share & swap stories with Elton as we have so much in common! I was a disc jockey in Toronto for 20 years and I played huge & successful charity dances for 4000 people that always sold out making huge profits which benefitted dozens of struggling & deserving charities! Philanthropy was my life.
