My style is what it looks like when femininity has fun. It’s edgy, preppy, sharp, confident, and playful—telling of who I am.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sol Orellana in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
What makes my style stand out is that it’s personal. I see style as an extension of self—it doesn’t need to dominate every room, but it should feel true to the wearer. After years of experimenting with looks that weren’t me, I’ve landed on a balance of feminine and masculine that feels authentic. People often recognize me by my chunky silver accessories—big hoops, stacked rings, and my Vivienne Westwood bag.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is ever-evolving, but right now it’s to be recognized in a room full of fashion’s most influential voices. Whether for my style, my personality, or eventually my impact on the industry, especially within magazines and journalism, that recognition would feel like a true affirmation of the path I’m carving.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000, I’d invest in travel to spark new inspiration for my fashion writing and to put myself in rooms with people who could challenge and elevate me. I’d use it to fuel my passion in ways that create lasting impact, not just quick wins—though I might allow myself one great pair of shoes. Money holds a lot of power, and I’d want to use it in a way I could be proud of down the line.
