What makes your style stand out?
Being Chinese, Japanese and queer growing up in Japan, and now an immigrant in the United States, I never felt like I fit in. I felt alone. But I realized my intersectionality is my power. It makes me special, it makes me unique, and it makes me “me.” I want to share my style as a proud queer immigrant artist from Japan, to share my story and uplift others who are like me. Because your style tells the story of your complexity and your beautiful opportunities.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Walking or showing a collection of my art at Fashion Week with a fusion of confidence, Japanese elegance and modern edge to make people FEEL something.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d invest it into growing my tea & art brand — sourcing sustainable materials, collaborating with other artists to build community, and creating something beautiful that move people’s hearts.
