Fashion interests me because it’s a form of self-expression that speaks without words. Every outfit tells a story — about mood, culture, etc
We would like to thank you for supporting Sam Hecox in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
Fashion has always been more than fabric and seams for me — it’s been my way of coping, expressing, and surviving. Growing up, I didn’t have much, but I learned how to make something out of nothing — cutting, stitching, and redesigning old clothes into something that felt like me. It became my outlet when everything else felt out of control.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be starting my own clothing company
What would you do with $20,000?
If I won $20,000, it wouldn’t just fund a dream — it would change my life. I’d finally be able to invest in proper equipment, materials, and education to bring my ideas to life. I’d create pieces that tell real stories — about struggle, transformation, and identity — because fashion should make people feel something.
