The first thing I made was a waistcoat out of paper and tape. 21 years later I am a pioneer for unconventional materials and sustainability
We would like to thank you for supporting Rose Brown in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
it changes with the wind. one day i'm a goth, the next an ultra fem, with a growing archive of vintage one offs but never to forget the ride or die comfy jeans on my days off. but mostly i enjoy making my own clothes. my brand ROZE explores innovative fabrics, rebellious attitudes and what it means to be British, which in turn reflects my personal values, character and alter ego.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
to watch a collection that i designed 5 years ago to finally make its way down the runway at London Fashion Week. i'm not talking about side shows for small creators, i mean the real one. for all the sacrifices i have made over the last 8 years to be worth it.
What would you do with $20,000?
i will use it to actualise my dream collection, to build it with the upmost quality and to let my ideas truly flourish, unencumbered by budget. my brand ROZE will launch in Paris January 2025 but this is just the beginning, the money will be used to make inventory and fund being displayed in international showrooms so it can be seen, understood and loved by the world. with a strong sustainable backbone, i will change the fashion world, to make both creativity and planet thrive, together.
