I knew I wanted to work in fashion since I was 5 years old & I have been in the industry for over 40 years. Styling is my lifeline.
What makes your style stand out?
What makes my style stand out is having a unique understanding of the fashion industry. Through my life experiences in Paris and working for companies like Valentino, Zegna, etc. as well as one on one with fashion designers. I have gathered an amazing understanding of the detailed work that goes into clothing from the stitching and fabric. But most importantly is my understanding of what works best for each specific individual from their height, weight, age, stature, and complexion.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
This question is amazing because I have fulfilled my first dream fashion moment. When I was a child I saw John F. Kennedy I remember thinking to myself I want to dress them. I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer and stylist from a young age. It’s crazy to look back and see that I would become John F. Kennedy Jr. fashion stylist and have the opportunity to consider him a friend. Now as I’m older my dream is to share what I have learned & leave behind a legacy with my brand for new generations.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would use the $20,000 to open my own store and create my brand “Remy Toh” where I can help elevate people’s lifestyles through their fashion. My dream is to give back to my community where I can be a mentor for the youth to teach them how they should show up and present themselves in this world. My mantra is your image is your bank. Invest in it.
