I have a vintage style with bright colors, lots of texture, and a metal accent. I love a style that stands out in a room!
What makes your style stand out?
Almost everything is thrifted! I make it a mission to make sure a majority of my closet is second-hand and with lots of character. I always try to find unique ways to wear clothes whether it be a scarf as a belt, a backwards shirt, or even a garment I cut up! It’s a win if I know that I’ll be wearing something custom I made, because it feels so authentically me.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
A mass sustainability movement! We have made enough clothes to dress the next six generations, with a majority of clothes ending up in the landfill. I want to see second-hand fashion not only the norm, but widely available for people of all backgrounds. If we could help our planet by limiting waste, I think that would be a true dream come true.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would probably save about $15k for schooling, as I have many loans to pay off from studying Fashion Design, and might even want to pursue a second degree in Marketing! But, I would want the rest of the funds to be given back to the community through a clothing and food drive. I am from a very rural area where families struggle to find proper grocery stores and clothing shops within a close enough range and that can fit within their budget. I would love to help others that need it.
