Style is my speech that allows me to express my journey to the authenticity I've worked for. Regal, and cultured with a dash of cunt.
What makes your style stand out?
Most times a turban stands out down south so that would be the beginning but my comfort in flowing seemlessly between masculinity and femininity or adding touches of both has been remaked on most.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be comprised of a newer interest, walking in a fashion show, in tandem with my love for creativity and expression. It would be phenomenal to collaborate and walk in a show for designers I love like Iris Van Herpen, or a newer designer like Joseph Mc Rea.
What would you do with $20,000?
To be honest, this is the furthest thing from my mind. Coming out I saw no one like me, so doing this is to provide visibility for others like me who have no lighthouse near them afraid of what an inspired life as a queer Muslim could look like. If I were to win I would find a way to create a safe place for queer youth to discover the freedom fashion can provide where words fall short.
