My late Grandma Joanie was a fashion designer who left me with the job to carry on her fashion legacy. I do it by turning heads.
What makes your style stand out?
Styling outfits is my primary artform. I create them by layering, mixing and matching unexpected elements, vintage and unique statement pieces, often playing with maximalism. I don’t really pay attention to trends or other people’s expectations. I’ve also begun exploring ways to express my gender fluidity.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I’d love to become an influencer/stylist. Every time I style an outfit I love is another chance to be seen and inspire others to come out of their shells. I love to answer their questions and encourage them to stop waiting for special occasions to wear whatever they want. For me, it’s more about that series of moments than just one. Winning this competition could have helping people feel like their best and most dazzling selves to life.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d donate to meaningful causes, save a little, and obviously shop, but with a focus on supporting small businesses and independent designers. I’d bring my own midsummer night’s dream to life by finally finding the perfect wedding dress and faerie wings, and I’d treat my family and friends to the gift of fashion with pieces that make them feel seen and fabulous, just like my grandmother used to do for me. Her kind of generosity runs deep in my blood.
