Self expression in fashion is a form of art I am always experimenting with. My style is a showcase of my ambitious flair and creativity.
We would like to thank you for supporting Oliver-August Nicholson in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
When it comes to standing out I find my eclectic style to always be eye-catching. I always get excited to try something new, and expand my taste. I never repeat an outfit, and it doesn't go unnoticed! As a person who identifies as transmasc, standing out is routine. However, I don't let that part of my identity become the whole reason my style gets attention. It comes from a creative nature I was born with, and I wear it proud.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
When I think about my dream fashion moment I think about flashing lights, and euphoria. The closest I've gotten to that was during marching band, but I wasn't wearing something that felt like me. I've been in and out of so many different uniforms, and I crave a different staple. Even something like attending a flashy fashion event as a guest would dazzle me. I never allowed myself to dare to dream of a moment like this. Being a witness to certain moments that define fashion would satisfy me.
What would you do with $20,000?
Id use $20,000 to take the weight off my parents when it comes to college. They have always been my biggest support in my music and art, and they've given me so much. My biggest dream is to start my own business designing and producing a fashion line. I'd like to get more education in before anything. Whether I'm studying music, journalism, fashion, or law my desire to improve my education is undying. This amount of money would not only motivate me, but give me the opportunity for dream chasing.
