Shareable caption (≤140 chars): Style is my audio—I wear confidence, tell stories with color, and chase authentic moments every day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Octavius Terry in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
What makes my style stand out is that it’s not just what I wear—it’s how I listen to the moment. I treat fashion like an instrument, with color and texture acting as the notes that underscore confidence and tell a story. I chase authentic moments daily, curating looks that reflect real emotion, not just trends. It’s style as performance: bold, deliberate, and always true to the person in the frame.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Dream moment: wearing one of my own designs to Milan Fashion Week. A quiet, crafted piece—textured wool, clean lines, a secret color pop—breathing with the energy of the showrooms and street style. The garment speaks first: hand-sewn seams, thoughtful drape, a playful detail that invites a closer look. Milan Fashion Week isn’t a backdrop; it’s a collaborator, amplifying my voice as fabric, color, and silhouette meet the city’s pulse.
What would you do with $20,000?
As a Black Designer funding my business, $20,000 would allow me to purchase more design equipment for my now home studio to be able to grow the business out of my basement and into a brick and mortar one day!
