I grew up in Nebraska and came out at 25. Style became my freedom—my way to show up boldly and tell my story without words.
We would like to thank you for supporting Nick Huff in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style is about fearless individuality. I mix vintage Americana with modern textures, luxury with grit—because I like the tension between polished and undone. Everything I wear has a little story: a patch that nods to where I’m from, a scarf from a market abroad, a piece that makes people stop and ask questions. I dress the way I live—unapologetically authentic, grounded but never quiet.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Stepping into a major fashion week show wearing something that feels like me—custom, unexpected, and rooted in personal history. Maybe it’s denim reworked from vintage pieces, or a hand-stitched jacket that tells a story of where I’ve been. My dream moment is less about being photographed and more about being seen—for the creativity, courage, and confidence behind the clothes.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d build a small-batch capsule that blends art, sustainability, and storytelling—pieces that celebrate individuality and challenge the idea of what “Midwestern style” can be. I’d collaborate with artists and craftspeople, document the process, and use it to inspire others to express themselves boldly, no matter where they’re from.
