Nakachi Nwagbata

Style is the entire paragraph that an outfit writes when you put it together. My style tells about my Nigerian heritage, my flare.

What makes your style stand out?

My style is the blueprint for main character energy. I take inspiration from anime like Soul Eater and NANA, but always seek to add some touch of my personality in it; carbon copies are just lame. My styles stands out because I always look to run against the modern grain while building a homely community around me of like minded stylists, designers, and fashion-forward creatives where we feed off of and inspire each other to feel and look our best.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I see myself designing for a V-Kei brand in Japan. Visual Kei is inspired by Western glam rock, punk, goth, and sometimes traditional Japanese dress.

What would you do with $20,000?

As the child of hard-working immigrants and as a Bi person, I'm familiar with struggling in life. This money will help fund my Fashion degree, provide food for my family daily, and with the extra money, I'll be sending help to my family back home, as well as supporting aid for Gaza and the Congo in their struggles.
