What makes your style stand out?

My style stands out because it’s rooted in my life experiences and diverse family background. Growing up in a melting pot of religions and ethnicities taught me how fashion can honor tradition, modesty, and ancestry whether through Kente cloth, African-inspired pieces, or reimagined classics. The result is a style that’s authentically me, shaped by who I am and who I come from.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

This opportunity is my dream fashion moment. Walking in Fashion Week would allow me to represent everyday people especially those who look like me, who work tirelessly in service to others, and who dream of being celebrated for who they are. For me, Fashion Week is more than a runway; it’s a spotlight on authenticity and belonging.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest it into my business, the Rose Center, where I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults in New Jersey. Many of the young people I serve particularly LGBTQ youth face homelessness and financial instability. With this award, I could expand programs, provide stipends, and create affirming care that gives them the stability and support they deserve.
