What makes your style stand out?

I enjoy experimenting with my looks beyond the clothes I wear; colored lenses, different makeup aesthetics, hairstyles, etc. I know how to take a theme and run with it! I get a ton of inspiration from visual art, film, literature, my friends, and music (I’m a big K-pop fan!). YouTube is my Pinterest board—nothing beats learning how different creatives from all over the world bring their ideas to life! I get a lot of enjoyment and motivation from watching someone’s process in long-form content.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

There‘s only one answer for me: to attend a Versace show during Fashion week in Milan! One of my favorite artists, Hyunjin from Stray Kids, is a global ambassador for Versace. He has such a unique sense of style and is a brilliant, multitalented artist. As an actor and theatre artist myself, I love that Hwang Hyunjin represents the powerful, daring, and rebellious legacy of Versace. It would be a literal dream come true to experience the height of fashion in Milan, a beautiful and historic city.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’m a first generation college graduate and grew up working class. I’ve juggled different jobs in order to pursue my creative career. $20,000 and the wider audience I gain from this contest will elevate my overall quality of life as an independent artist. It will be a gateway to new industry connections and provide the financial mobility to continue investing in my love of storytelling and my community and achieve global recognition as a Black Filipina actor and theatre artist in New Orleans.
