Style and fashion has helped me carve out an identity in a world that has always misunderstood me. It has given me a voice without any words
We would like to thank you for supporting Miyel Brown in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it’s both deeply personal and experimental. I treat getting dressed like creating art — layering unexpected pieces, textures, and silhouettes until they tell a story on my body. I don’t follow trends or mood boards; I draw inspiration from myself, which makes every outfit a unique reflection of who I am in that moment.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be stepping into a world where I could access the high fashion pieces and avant-garde designs that push my style to its furthest limits. Right now, I work within the constraints of my budget and I still manage to achieve my vision, but having the freedom to wear the pieces I dream about would be transformative. It would feel like unlocking the fullest expression of my style.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000, I would invest directly into my fashion magazine, M2U Magazine. It’s my baby — a platform that blends interviews, photography, and style as living art. The funding would allow me to expand distribution, collaborate with more artists, and push creative boundaries while continuing to carve out space for independent voices in fashion.
