What makes your style stand out?

What makes me & my style stand out is the way that I put pieces together - from my now 'vintage' pieces that I bought new 20 years ago with pieces that I thrifted, with menswear & boys department, to items that I transformed with the help of artists & seamstresses. I think I have any eye for the possibility of a piece, & not just wearing something 'off the rack' as it was presented in the store or on a website. I also think what makes me stand out is the joy I get from dressing. #JoyIsAnOutfit

What’s your dream fashion moment?

New York, London, Milan, & Paris are the Fashion Weeks where the major houses have shown their collections for decades. Recently, Copenhagen & now Lagos, Nigeria have "entered the chat" as newer creative fashion hubs that have focused on street fashion (Copenhagen) & elevating African designers. I love seeing the shows from NY, London, Milan & Paris, but my dream fashion moment would be to go to Copenhagen & Lagos to experience their fashion weeks & meet designers & fashion creators.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use $20K to invest in growing my business, both as an over 50 content creator (investing in photography, content, social media, etc.) but also in growing my fashion brand ModaMichelle, where I have a small number of slow, fashion pieces that I design and sell. I would also use part of this money to continue to develop and test special pieces, and enhance my website and advertising.
