As a two spirit punk from the 80s. upcycling vintage fashion was born out of necessity to be seen and understood.
What makes your style stand out?
In my youth i was a punk with full mohawk with sewn on patches on antique tail coats and i've embraced that advanced style phenomenon and full eccentricity that comes with full freedom to colour my hair and wear statement evening wear with a nod to my indigenous heritage and to the avant garde.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I first watched project runway in 2014 and i saw the unconventional materials challenge and was astounded that you could make wearable art out of any materials, It was a refreshing safe space for queers and i made my first drag queen dress, I would love to make a dress for Jordan Roth for the met gala
What would you do with $20,000?
I would turn The Haus of Dumont from a interesting exercise in art making to the next level and become a design house with rental business of vintage upcycled fashion
