Style is a daily practice of creativity, expression, and play. I like eccentric pieces that let me share my whimsy and sass with others!
We would like to thank you for supporting Mia Tognoli in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style blends influences from 60s mod, feminine silhouettes, lolita fashion, street wear, and 90s trends. I love mixing patterns, unexpected accessories, and statement pieces to create a unique, eclectic look with a girly, edgy twist. While I don’t rely on a signature style or color scheme, I enjoy the freedom to experiment and evolve. Each outfit feels like a new character, even with core pieces remaining constant. For me, it’s all about embracing variety and fun.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Emperor Ferdinand I’s suit of armor. It’s currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’m a recent college graduate working as a Research Assistant to gain experience before pursuing graduate studies in Public Health or Psychology. My goal is to contribute to the development of high-quality, low-cost interventions. With a background in HIV/AIDS prevention research, I’m passionate about work focusing on community-centered intervention. I’d use the $20,000 to fund further education, support my research, and invest in tools or resources that advance my work.
