I’ve always loved the idea of putting outfits together since a kid. I admire how something you wear can be so meaningful, yet so meaningless
We would like to thank you for supporting Megan Filtz in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style is playful and expressive—oversized pants, tiny tops, standout purses, and tons of accessories. I love thrifting; it’s my happy place and the best way to find unique pieces. Bold colors, mixed patterns, and themed dressing (like events or character-inspired looks) fuel my creativity. Fashion is how I express myself and explore different aesthetics.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I have always wanted to be a high fashion runway model. This has been a dream of mine for years, but I eventually gave up on this as I don’t have the height or “look” they are typically seeking within that industry. I love watching fashion shows and picturing myself on that catwalk. I’ve even practiced and perfected my runway walk.
What would you do with $20,000?
Even if I never walk a runway, I’d still love to work in fashion—whether designing (I’ve started sewing lessons) or styling, which comes naturally to me. Fashion is where my heart is. With $20,000, I’d attend a top fashion school. Where I’m from, opportunities are limited, and relocating isn’t financially possible. Winning would give me the chance to pursue my dream and build a future in the fashion industry.
