What makes your style stand out?

My style stands out because it embodies confidence, heritage, and lived experience. What I wear and how I move are extensions of my story: expressing strength, identity, and the fusion of where I come from with who I am becoming. It’s unexpected for my identity as a scientist, defying for my gender, and forward in its sustainability. Above all, it’s a conversation: a dialogue between tradition and transformation, where every choice carries both memory and possibility

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment would be creating my own label that pays homage to and preserves centuries-old craftsmanship, techniques, and weaving traditions lost under colonialism. I want to tell the stories of families and artisans whose work has been forgotten, turning discarded clothes into living archives of what was nearly erased. My dream is to redefine what culture means: who gets to shape it, who preserves it, and how fashion can be both subversive, futuristic, and restorative.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d use the funds to build a sustainable fashion label that will reweave erased histories through reclaimed fabric and ancestral techniques. I’d partner with queer artisans whose craftsmanship carries generational knowledge and history, invest in sourcing discarded materials, and document the process as a living archive. Part of the fund would also document these stories digitally, building an open-access archive that celebrates cultural heritage and sustainability side by side.
