In a world of fast fashion, I make my own pieces—crochet, sewing & upcycling—to be sustainable and express my individuality.
We would like to thank you for supporting Marin Stephens in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it’s handmade, intentional, and personal. Through crochet, sewing, embroidery, and upcycling, I transform simple materials into unique pieces that reflect my individuality, creativity, and care for sustainability.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
As a fashion student, my dream moment is creating my own line that celebrates traditional techniques—crochet, sewing, embroidery, upcycling—while breaking away from fast fashion to offer pieces that feel timeless, personal, and sustainable.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d put $20,000 into opening a studio and producing my first collection. It would give me the tools to start building a brand and a career in fashion, something I’ve dreamed of for years.
