What makes your style stand out?
The distinction and eclectica. Black lace, stripes, layers, sheer fabric, glimmer, and silver I think are distinctions in a lot of what I make or choose to wear. It’s a good outcome of the music, runway fashion and trends as well as my own personal experiences like loss and love that build my looks.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Having my style be recognized; whether it’s an outfit a music artist or celebrity shows out wearing (styled or made by me) or collaborations with fashion designers and brands like Betsey Johnson, Vivienne Westwood (RIP), Ashley Williams London, Anna Sui, Chrome Hearts, Miu Miu, etc. Someone or a brand that I not only respect but think is cool; a unique but memorable moment in fashion history.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would invest in my magazine, printing costs add up- I also love building and fostering community in the magazine and I’d love to be able to continue that; I’d definitely use some of the money to purchase more specific or designer clothing pieces for my styling collection wardrobe; I’d also love to use it to travel to NY, Japan and Italy, I’ve never been but have always wanted to go to study the fashion and personalities - I feel like so many opportunities and connections would come from that.
