Dressing my mom, tying my church tie; style was love early on. Now it’s my pride, queerness, and survival. It’s how I show the world me.
What makes your style stand out?
I came to America at the age of 13. My mom was given 3 months to live with stomach cancer, but we kept going. At age of 19 I was diagnosed with vitiligo; and We had to go in a shelter, I had to find a job and within 9 months and HRA’s help we found a home. That taught me Resilience . I express my queerness with pride like turning a shirt into a crop top, adding accessories like an eyeliner feeling sexy, bold and captivating. It’s more than fashion; it’s survival, self-love, & being me
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is attending the Met Gala in a look I designed, launching my own brand, and founding Vogue in Dominican Republic.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d invest in myself; build my credit, buy a car, invest it on my talents like singing, playing instrument& fashion design courses, and finally record my first song in a studio. I’ve always had a passion for singing and I want to bring those dreams to life. I would also help my mom to open a family name restaurant and buy a house. I will like to help people in DR living with AIDS& Mental Ills; This money would support my healing, my growth,& turn my dreams into something real
