What makes your style stand out?

Style is a powerful way to transform oneself. Whenever someone says “I love this but I have nowhere to wear it to…” I say, “where it to your life!” As a mom to two preschoolers on the Canadian prairies I often find myself in world of athleisure and gortex. I prefer silk and fur. I’m a firm believer in the transformational power of style. I like to play with mixing decades’ style and confidence and originality are my two must-have accessories. Dress for your own dopamine!

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I’ve always dreamed of having my photo taken by a street style photographer during fashion week and being able to answer the question; ‘who are you wearing?’ with one word; ‘vintage’.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use half the money to go on a sourcing/modelling trip through small towns in North America — vintage treasure troves! I’d bring my sister and we’d model our finds to fit the zeitgeist of each town and create social media/short film content (I was a CBC News journalist in another life; the urge to document is engrained!) and the other half to expand my vintage clothing brand, ma petite rêve, C’est Madeline.
