I’m Black and gay, chasing a dream fashion lets me tell my color, culture, and resilience minimalist at heart, with one bold piece leading.
What makes your style stand out?
My height is part of my look, but the focus is my fearless, loud style as a Black queer person. I’m tall and I dress boldly to make a statement that’s as tall as I am Black, queer, and loud in my style. I dress for impact: bold, loud, and unapologetically me as a Black queer person who isn’t afraid to be seen. Androgyny in all of its forms is what makes my style stand out.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream moment is a Vogue cover or a Met Gala entrance that translates a life between Haiti and France into one runway of meaning. It’s not just fashion; it’s a declaration that immigrant stories can set trends, challenge norms, and inspire future generations to define beauty on their own terms.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d first give $10,000 to my mom to honor everything she’s done and to give her a secure cushion for the future, with a plan to check in on her needs and goals regularly; I’d save $6,000 to build a rainy-day fund as I begin investing in my dreams; and I’d set aside $4,000 for opportunities travel for casting or shoots, casting fees or fellowships, and a contingency for unexpected chances. It all leads to the dream of acting on stages and screens, where stories like mine can be seen and heard.
