What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because I wear what brings me joy, no rules as it is also appropriate for where I’m going. I wear pearls as they are my favorite as it is the only gem stone that is made from a living organism by the friction that enters the clams shell and thus I get to share and remind myself the overcoming power we have from every irritant that comes our way. I created Stringingourpearls a youth camp for At risk youth with this in mind
What’s your dream fashion moment?
So far it was in Cape Town South Africa when we were out doing missions work a group of youth surrounded me pointing at my shoes I was wearing a colorful pair of Alegria’s these beautiful youth ones hung on to me the entire afternoon singing and laughing. Repeating bye bye as we left. Who knew those shoes would speak love and acceptance. I wished to this day I could have sent some to their village !
What would you do with $20,000?
I would purchase assistant equipment for my Mom a lift chair for her to get upstairs, redo the area set up so my dad doesn’t have to go down 2 sets of stairs to get her meals. She a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner the first black woman in our state to be licensed by Bowman Grey School of Medicine. She won a Betty Crocket Sewing Scholarship that paid her way through nursing school, As a teen mom with a passion and minor in Education that she uses to this day in our community and church.
