What makes your style stand out?

My style stands out mainly because I shop second-hand (thrift stores, antique malls, vintage markets). This is more sustainable and forces me to be more creative with outfit planning. I also love using unique pieces that don't exist in every shopping mall, this allows me to add spice to my everyday fashion. I also take the majority of my style inspiration from the awesome, stylish people I have in my life! I am a graphic design major and always find fashion inspiration walking around campus.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment would be walking the runway in one of my designs! As mentioned, I love shopping second hand as well as up-cycling clothes I find or already own. I add the finishing 'Lila flourish' to as many pieces as possible. Cross-stitching is a recent passion. I just completed a cross-stitch Frida Kahlo portrait that I’ve added to an old sweatshirt I never wore; I can't wait to show it off!

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won the $20,000, it's drinks “on me” with my family and friends! I would use the funds to buy a better quality sewing machine, more cross-stitching supplies, and grow my up-cycled collection. I would also use it to treat style icons in my everyday life to show them appreciation for helping me get to where I am today. With what is left-over, I would make smart money moves and invest it to support my family and my future.
