Layla Keith Ruppert

Fashion is unique in the sense that it has no exact definition. It’s completely up to interpretation, allowi for freedom of the imagination.

What makes your style stand out?

As Kate Spade once said, "If you're never on trend, you're never off trend". I strive for my style to communicate a classic and timeless look that doesn't always adhere to the trends of the current time. Don't get me wrong, trends can be great, and I love seeing how people celebrate them in different ways. However, a timeless, classic look can never go wrong. I like to incorporate bright, bold colors into my style to express my bubbly and bright personality and show how color makes me confident.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment would be to attend the iconic Met Gala. The Met Gala is where all the worlds of fashion come together and showcase their own take on the theme of the year. My personal favorite themes of past Met Gala's have been "Camp: Notes on Fashion" and "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion". To be able to attend and see all of the talented designers' work come together would be my absolute dream and wish. So much fashion, style icons, and talent all in one room.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use this money to further my education in all areas of fashion and attend different courses/master's programs at Vogue College of Fashion. I would love to attend Vogue's 5 Days of Fashion Styling at Vogue's London Office. This short course would allow me to style my own Vogue shoot and present my styling work to industry professionals. I would also love to learn my MA in Creative Direction for Fashion Media in London as well.
