Growing up as a model in the fashion industry and obtaining a Bachelor’s in Fashion Merchandising, my life has been rooted in style.
We would like to thank you for supporting Lanaighyah Beard in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because I place no limits on my self-expression. As a multidimensional being, I flow between streetwear, vintage finds, one-of-a-kind thrifted pieces, and feminine looks—all elevated by my luxurious brand, LJB Footwear. At 6 feet tall, I embrace my presence fully and refuse to shrink myself or my style to fit into anyone’s stereotype. I wear confidence, purpose, and authenticity in every look.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is seeing myself modeling my luxurious footwear line, LJB Footwear, on the cover of a major fashion magazine—where exclusivity, inclusivity, and sustainability meet. I envision strutting down the runway during Fashion Week, with each step representing resilience, purpose, and bold style. But beyond the spotlight, my ultimate dream is to walk through life in alignment with my purpose—empowering others through fashion and leaving a stylish footprint of wherever I go.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would invest the $20K by being of service and curating a luxurious confidence building and shoemaking workshop to help women of all ages and all sizes embody confidence from the inside out. I would also invest in upgrading to sustainable packaging for my luxury footwear brand to reduce our carbon footprint. Lastly, I’d create educational content focused on sustainable practices in fashion to inspire a more equitable, inhabitable world for future generations.
