What makes your style stand out?

My style stands out simply because I do not follow trends. I love patterns on patterns, fabric mixing, and pops of color. Most importantly, I love a theme. If allowed to channel an era or a moment in time, I will devour it every time. My style is not a one-trick pony; you never know what you may see. If I had the money to buy the things I want to, no telling what my style would evolve into.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment is to walk in a fashion week, even to plan and execute one. I want to inspire the girls to serve looks...I want to see more couture on beautiful brown skin. Fast fashion is ruining the moment when everyone looked different, and I desperately want to see more individual style; I want to create a pathway for that.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I would also like to invest in providing home economics and design classes to underprivileged youth, allowing them to explore whether these fields interest them. We often see enrichment that covers music and dance, but rarely the arts. I believe that more diverse art programs will spark the right interest in children, enabling us to create more innovators.
