Every style has a theme or message without use of words. Expression is power and creativity combined; Storytelling is my fashion.
We would like to thank you for supporting Khonyé Smith in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I like an alternative look. Flared jeans and a platform shoe will always put me heads above the rest (I’m 6’4). A nice baggy jean that is slim at the waist but long and loose at the bottom goes great with a fitted Top/polo; a combination of class and edge. I gravitate towards combining pieces that are simple yet bold. I love preppy schoolboy and streetwear fashion. I like to look delicate yet whimsical and sophisticated. My style is flexible and authentic to how I carry myself.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Walking a runway show in Paris or the United Kingdom for a designer brand AKA Louis Vuitton in a hand tailored outfit made in my image, and worn by no one else. Seeing myself posted all over the media and billboards sponsored by elite fashion corporations that represent underrepresented individuals such as myself in culturally shocking and respectable clothing pieces.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would invest in resources that will my help me improve my performing career and get me in a good place to network for singing, modeling, and business. I would also explore opportunities to travel to the United Kingdom for college and get into runway modeling out of state. And I will be spoiling the people I cherish in my life.
