What makes your style stand out?

My style changes based on how I’m doing— I tend to pick out items in my closet that represent what I’m feeling that day, and what the day will bring— it helps me connect more with myself, others, and what I’m doing. During photo shoots, when I can put someone else’s art on, it helps me step into a new space that gives specific expression and love to their art— to create something together— which I think is what humanity should be about.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

To walk the runway wearing someone’s art that they would love to have seen and expressed. Then, we can take steps to better the world together when our words are powerful, when people are listening. I feel that so many people get caught up in their every day lives, and they don’t realize that its not one grand action that saves the world— its our actions every day that save the world, just through reminding the people beside us that the world is still wonderful.

What would you do with $20,000?

Books and clothing. It starts with children; their place in the world is so important to the future and present, we don’t acknowledge that enough. Their words are so powerful and impactful. They are closest to life and remind us of what life is all about. I would publish a few lines of my literature aimed at helping the child and the parent better understand each other through art; as well as publishing a poetic novel for the young adult, and connecting it to releasing a powerful clothing line.
