I personally feel the need to become a “larger than life”, or even caricaturistic, persona that people can aspire to and revere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style is very distinct in this modern era due to my curation of past archival fashions and garments in a new and refreshened eye. I stick to bold and strong colors, layered lines, draped fabrics, and eccentric accessories to separate my flair from the next. I always think you can add more while minting a sleek silhouette, and never would want to imitate or mimic somebody else exactly, to not be individual is mundane and boring, and life is meant to be enjoyed and personalized.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is hosting a gala in the south of France during Paris Fashion Week, a gala of grandiose decadence and avante-Garde guest in a chateau reminiscent of Karl Lagerfelds. The gala would covertly be a fashion show that would feature a walk of my designs, inspired by the rococo era and modernized by a team of my closest friends into wearable pieces of archival art, while everyone is dancing and enjoying the gala-turned fashion show.
What would you do with $20,000?
$20,000 would give me enough capital to build a team of illustrators, designers, and seamstresses to initiate the start of my label. It would be a small team at first but the starting pieces would be where most of the money would be invested in for production. Quality, structure, and execution, tied in with curated poise, is the foremost attributes I make sure to include in all of my creations.
