Fashion is my freedom, bold, unapologetic, and queer. It’s how I show the world my confidence and celebrate being fully me.
We would like to thank you for supporting Johnathan in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I don’t dress to impress, I dress to disrupt. not with hate, but with confidence. My style stands out because it’s fearless, playful, and unapologetically mine, a reminder that fashion is a freedom for all, not a rulebook.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Of course I’d love to walk a runway! Dolce & Gabbana or Dior Men would be a dream. But more than that, if my style and confidence could inspire someone who doesn’t feel at home in the super-feminine lane or the hyper-masculine lane, that would mean everything. Fashion isn’t about boxes or stereotypes, it’s about showing up as you, without remorse.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20k, I wouldn’t just blow it on clothes. I’d aim to put together a pop-up like runway for real people. queer kids, “misfits”, teachers, baristas, nurses, anyone who’s never had the chance to feel like they belong in fashion. I think it would be incredible to have a runway that people feel empowered walking down. In my eyes, style should be freedom, not some exclusive club, and I’d hope to use that money to prove that.
