What makes your style stand out?
The history behind it! It makes me happy knowing that some things in my closet have had their own stories and lives, and that they now become a part of mine. Also, bags & eyewear! Whether it's blue-light frames or sunglasses, an outfit doesn't feel complete for me without some frames and a bag.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Styling & photographing an editorial for Vogue! I'm a freelance photographer & have always been obsessed with editorials in Vogue. Stephen Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, & David LaChapelle are some of my biggest inspirations. Their shoots always seemed to be of a different universe; one I'd want to live in all the time (still do)! I've also gotten really into thrifting and hunting down archival pieces. My dream is blending the two together; styling & photography japhotos.net (':
What would you do with $20,000?
I would donate half to a charity named Small Steps for Speech, which provides grants to families in need of speech-language therapy or treatment not covered by insurance. I'm a speech therapist, and have seen firsthand how many children and families are impacted by a shortage of providers or out of pocket costs associated with seeking private therapy. I would use the other half to invest in studio equipment to finally jumpstart a part-time fashion photography business ◡̈
